Olde English Bulldogge's for sale -- Heath, 18:16:16 02/10/04 Tue

My bulldogge has had her first litter of puppies today!

I have 3 males and 2 females. These dogs grandfather is the legendary Wattamug Sumo. 4 of these dogs are nearly completely white and the other is a black/brindle color. I will put up a website with their pictures on Feb 15 but I will email any pics you want before then.

Just a quick note on looks. I owned a purebred English Bulldog (Delta) as my first out of college dog. She lived a full happy life but quickly started deteriorating at the age of eight and died on her ninth birthday. I never bred her because she couldn't naturally whelp and she always had problems breathing in the arizona heat.

Thus, on her passing two years ago I searched long and hard to find a bulldog which looked english but could run, fetch sticks, whelp naturally, and could handle the heat. Most importantly, they had to look like a purebred english bulldog.

I looked at hermes, leavitt and dozens of other bulldogs. I even had people recommend bulldogs and send me pictures of theirs. The problem was, most Olde English bulldog's look like boxers, mastiffs or american bulldogs. No offense to those who like Old's of this kind, but I wanted the English look no matter what the cost as long as they lived longer and had the Olde English traits.

Several breeder's did have the dog's I wanted, but one was actually close and had a superior sire named Sumo. Thus, I bought two dogs of different lineage that look like English but are much bigger, way faster, and superior in intelligence. More importantly, my kids love them.

I only wrote this thinking that some one was in my shoes now, garbled with information and confused about what they want. Bella, BTW, whelped all 5 with ease and they will all look quite English.

The price 1300. I also have a house for sale in AZ, and I'll give you one as a housewarming gift. Hehehe

I agree with the writer. I also have gotten dogs from What A Mug and they are gorgeous, no health problems, looking English with the olde agility. I love her dogs and would recommend them to anyone. A very professional business woman. Go WHAT A MUG

I would be very careful buying any puppy from What-A-Mug. Jo Ann is doing some pretty shifty things and what you buy may not be what is on the papers. There are so many people that have been screwed by her. Unhealthy puppies, hip problems, skin problems, and now questionable breeding practices that involve pit bulls to produce blue bulldogges. I know of a lady right now who has been fighting with her for almost 2 years over a sick puppy Jo Ann refused to replace. She knew the puppy was sick and even sent instructions to deal with the slight upset stomach. To bad it wasn't an upset stomach but an actual intestinal virus that was contracted from the filth the puppy was subjected to while in her care. The puppy had it so bad it has taken the entire time and thousands in vet bills to get him as close to normal as he'll ever be. Theres also the thing with the alt name of Loni Alderson. She claims Loni is her sister but when your writing to her through emails pay attention and you'll see you're talking to Ms. Jo Ann herself. Check out her site sometime she says her dogs swim in a bone shaped pool. I was out there not too long ago and there was no pool. All I saw was a butt ton of hot dogs laying in dirty kennels.

I heard the only thing legendary about Sumo is that is that his owner What A Mug wacked him off over 1000 times and enjoyed it!!!!!

After reading the rude and vague replies posted following your message, I did a very short amount of research into half of your puppies lineage and found out the Sumo did in fact die of �valley fever.� I am not sure what this is or what it is caused by. More information about this would be appreciated. Beyond this, if the people who left negative information about the �What-A-Mug� lineage could leave more specific information about what exactly the defect or chronic problems with this line are�if any documented evidence or personal experience with the line is out there.
However, I also saw pictures of him and aside from appearing rather large he does look more like an English Bulldog. I too am interested in finding an Olde English Bulldog that is (specifically) wrinkly like its English counterpart. Do you have any valuable advice? Do your puppies by any chance have wrinkles and any health guarantees?

Hi!!! I'm certainly Resenting the saying; that I've seen in people using the statement "you get what you pay for"!!! This is Simply not True in all cases!!! I have pups that are almost a year old now; and I have dropped their price;for the reason,of supposedly helping them get to their homes, meant for them... Not for the reason that they are anything Less than,AT All; than dogges selling for a higher price!!!This does NOT mean that I have compromised in their care in any way, shape, nor form!!! They have had the best of Everything; that I don't think Most breeders even think, nor even care at all about...And what is their proof in the pudding; for their guarantee,after the higher priced sale?! It may look Good up front, but what of the Truth?! Coming from Michigan, I have found that I myself was sick unto death many of times...I didn't know why?!! But after much prayer, and much sickness; I found answers!!! The largest problem was, in at least half of our Great State of Michigan; having large amounts of arsenic in our waters...And that wasn't all...But to start there; since it almost killed me, what was it doing to animals?! Oh yes, you wouldn't believe the stories of Very high cancer rates in both humans, and animals around here; not to mention the long list of other ailments it causes...This is also cause, I read before; of even DNA being changed...The only thing that gets this out of water;is reverse osmosis, and distillation...NO other means of purification gets arsenic, and other chemicals etc. out of water...The dogges entrusted to me, have never had a drop of water given to them by me; unless it has been purified by those means...So, do people care about this, for the future generations of pups coming from these dogges? Or what of Serious health problems in them now!!! How many Vets tell you that is why your dogges bones are degenerating; or with Great Arthritis, and etc? Or how about those mysterious skin rashes,and many other ailments?
I tell people up front,I will not give a False Health Guarantee; and why I won't!!! I can't know what source of drinking water the dogges, or pups are going to be given...So why would I Guarantee something I have no control over?!! I just do the Very Best I know to do; to give you the Greatest,of healthy pup!!! What more can I do that would produce a healthier dogge for the purchaser? Yet I'm seeing the words "You get what you pay for!!!" How many of these people,that quote those words verbatim; put this much effort into their dogges?! Or have spent near as much money,( as I purchased this water by the gallons);to insure their good health, and DNA for future generations of this Wonderful Breed?! Not to mention the best of food by comparison study,of what is offered; and on, and on!!! Where is All of this consideration,and going the extra mile; only being considered as..."you get what you pay for"?!! This Is Simply not TRUE, as a pat statement!!! And I'm not happy with those,who think to put me in their classification; for the sake of appearance,of seemingly Superior knowledge, and words. As if I should be looked down upon; for the mystery,of what is an OK price to have a dogge sell. Yet for the dogges to not be considered inferior; because they aren't being sold, for "Their Certain Key Price"...So I will say this Even More; make sure your getting,what your paying for!!! Especially Be Aware, concerning those who charge a Super High Price; and use the saying "You get what you pay for"!!!

This pups dam was a bit more athletic, however her genotype is fairly bully but not over done, The pups sire is very bully, almost over done but he is still fully functional and is a natural breeder and clean breather.

This pup seems to display a perfect amount of both sides. He is bullier than some behind him, yet still not over done. I expect that he will have plenty to offer someone else in their program, or he could make the perfect pet. I see no reason I would insist on him going as a pet only, as I am having trouble not keeping him myself for breeding purposes. My intentions were to keep a female back, and that is what I am doing...so this boy is going to go.

However, I will discount him as contracted on a spay/neuter contract if someone chooses him for a pet only.

I bought an Olde English Bulldogge puppy from Dave and Nan Greenly of Greenly's Olde English Bulldogge's in December 2004. I paid them $1000.00 for a papered puppy. They assured me that they would be getting the papers to me within a month or so. That was in December 2004, it is now March 2005 and they have not provided me with papers. Also, they are not returning my phone messages or my e-mails. I am just trying to get my papers and to let others know about their scam because I don't want others to have to go through the hassel that they have put me through. Stay away from Greenly's Olde Bulldogges.

I aquired a Victorian/Olde English Female 6 months ago and found out that the former owner(s) had bred her early and/or overbred her. I am reducing my guilt at the ingnorance of not noticing the problems with her by spaying her. She is a red brindle color and is very loveable to both my wife and I as well as our young children, I can't emphasize how affectionate she actually is. People who have been sold sick puppies by WIZARD OF CLAWS - a South Florida pet store accused of unconscionable and misleading business practices, are planning a demonstration on Saturday, March 11 from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm in front of the store at 9101 Taft Street, in Pembroke Pines, FL. They will be joined by other animal lovers to protest the store's sale of "puppy mill" puppies.

Although Wizard of Claws has told customers that their puppies were from "reputable" breeders, in reality the puppies were obtained from large scale commercial breeding facilities in the midwest, commonly known as a "puppy mills", where animal welfare concerns are wholly secondary to profits.

Typical puppy mills have hundreds of dogs which are bred every time they go into heat. The sole purpose of puppy mill operators is profit, so dogs are bred without any regard to their genetic quality, and housed in substandard conditions where they spend their entire lives in cages, without proper exercise, nutrition or veterinary care.

Puppy mill puppies often suffer health and behavioral problems because of their poor breeding, lack of socialization and unsanitary mill conditions. These puppies are sold by pet stores to unsuspecting consumers that get their wallets lightened and their hearts broken when their new puppy gets deathly ill or develops genetic defects that require expensive veterinary treatment, treatment that pet stores routinely refuse to pay for in spite of legal requirements to the contrary.

This demonstration is being conducted in accordance with the City of Pembroke Pines laws as they pertain to peaceful demonstration. Sticks are not recommended and loud speakers are not permitted. There can be no blocking of traffic and driveways, and the store employees and the general public may not be prevented from entering or exiting. The City is being notified in advance.

The purpose of this demonstration is to promote public awareness about the puppymill/pet store atrocities that are occurring here within our local communities. As many know, Wizard of Claws Pet Store has made the news on several occassions. Most recently with the NBC 6 investigative series as well as the Broward/Dade New Times. NBC 6 has been rewarded for their efforts of exposing these puppymill puppy pushers, as now the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) has joined forces and is seeking to become a part of a �class action� lawsuit that had previously been filed against WOC.

Some of those who will be in attendance have purchased sick puppies that have since been cured at an enormous costs. Some of those in attendance may have purchased one puppy only to receive an entirely different one. Then there are some whose puppies cannot be cured and will remain crippled or on medications for the rest of their life, as well as some of those that have lost their puppies to diseases after watching them suffer. Then there will be those who never had any ties to WOC, yet they will be there for their love of the dogs. We anticipate a fair amount of media coverage for this demonstration, and need everyone that can attend.
WOC claims to be perhaps the largest seller of puppies in the country, as they do an enormous amount of business via the internet. They also claim to purchase from a select group of breeders. Please join us, as we would like to educate the public about puppymills and pet stores. I have a 6 month olde english bulldogge that was given to us by one of my sons friend. The mom of the friend told us it was a hermes breed bulldogge. she is white with fawn patches and weighs about 65lbs. the parents were given away also. The father of the friend left his family and took all paperwork with him. Question is? how do i? or can i get this new addition to our family registered.
