Prednisone can stay in the body for up to a year...especially after being on it for as long as you were...I can relate...I have been on prednisone for 5 years straight (4 years before that were off and on) and I am continuing on it with no end in sight...although now I am lowering my dose to a more manageable level (I am on 30 mg now and continuing to drop until I hit about 10 mg...then I get a break :))

I hope the pain diminishes for you quickly!! Physical therapy may help some...as the muscles around the bones strengthen, maybe the bones won't hurt as badly...it could be worth a try! Good luck! If you want to chat or have any questions, please feel free to email me on here or privately!

Ivy
