Subject: Facial, Abdominal and Lower Extremity Swelling

I have been on prednisone at varying doses since 2003 and have tried just about every "steroid-sparing" drug out there w/o success. I have been "stuck" at 25 mg per day for the past year. I have also noticed over the past year a tremendous amount of abdominal swelling/bloating that never seems to go away. It is to the point that sometimes it is difficult to breath due to the pressure from this. Also notice it in my lower extremities and of course my face. I feel like a great big OAF and if someone stuck a needle in me I would pop. Will this ever go away? Is there anything I can do to get rid of this?
