Take a deep breath!!!Our e-mail addresses are usually listed with our posts. If you wrote down a couple, could your daughter send updates to one or two? They could post updates on the board. I sat down and wrote letters to my friends/family, wishes for my funeral, and general info I wanted done. I gave them to a good friend to hold onto- not a family member- because she was more clear headed at the time. She kept them for over 2 years, then we had a shredding party. My husband was a rock for me. My daughters, 16&18 at the time were another story. My youngest stayed as far away as possible. The oldest went off the deep end for awhile too. It was temporary, our relationship/their lives are much better now. I have been on both sides of the hospital bed and I really not sure which side is the most difficult. This is close to impossible but I would suggest you quit researching all the statistics about your possible surgery. A little knowledge is a good thing- too much will drive you crazy! Stress changes our body functions/ it does not help with recovery. I admit, I am the pot calling the kettle black. I sincerely wish that at the time of my procedures/surgery I had chosen a different career path! Remember- you are in God's hands- not just the dr's. He will be in the OR too; guiding your dr's hands. We will be praying for you every step of the way. You will not be alone.
love ya,
becki
