Hi Rosa, Tiffany, Ivy,and everyone:

I was just about to post that Steriods are AWFUL when I read your post. I am trying to wean too. I am down to 5mgs of Medrol from 24 mgs all last year. This drop has been the worst. I feel awful. I am so tired, achy, my heart races, I feel even more short of breath ( I have a rare lung disease). I can hardly get my body out of bed in the morning and I have a 3 yr. old. I am so frustrated. I swear the steriods are worse than the disease. Just know that we all know what you are going through. I love what Ivy says about being good to yourself during your reduction. I am trying some energy healing stuff from Donna Eden. I have also found a site that teaches EFT - emotional freedom techniques www.emofree.com I think it helps especially when I start getting really wigged out. I know that xanax is not the best thing to take, but somedays I just need a quick fix and I take it. This is the hardest thing I have ever been through. So take it easy and go slow. My doc. told me today to hold at 5 mgs. for a few weeks. He keeps telling me it's not a race and to let my body tell when to reduce. If it takes months to get off this stuff than so be it. At least I am not at 24 mgs. Please take it slow and know that you have many friends that understand what you are going through.

Ivy - I keep praying for you. I hope they do find something that they can treat and help you feel better. You have been through so much. I just wish I could take it all away from you.

Tiffany - you know that I am praying for you! Let me know how your doctor's appointment went.

I love you all! My prayers are with you!

God Bless!

Karen
