Karen,

Thank you for your support as I go through all this mess! You guys have been so great to me...I don't know how I would do it if I didn't have this board!!

I take zofran for nausea during the day when I need it. It does NOT make me loopy at all...it doesn't have the central nervous system side effects like many other meds in that class. I take 1 to 2 4 mg zofran every 4-6 hrs. They also have an subligual zofran if you can't swallow the pills. I don't think insurance companies like to pay for those, though. It is a very expensive med, so I hope they will cover it!! There is also kytril, but I think that is just injected...I got in the hospital and it worked GREAT, again, with no loopiness :) Kytril raised my pressure a bit, though...not enough to do anything bad though, just enough to be noted by the nurse (of couse I was also getting a TON of fluids, so I think it was that, but whatever LOL). I take marinol 5 mg at bedtime for nausea because it knocks me OUT!

I hope this helps!!! Good luck with these weans!!!

Ivy
