>Hi Carolyn,
I agree with what Ivy and Judy K. told you. We are not doctors but itdoes sound like Cushing's symptoms and the ACTH blood test and a 24 hour unrinary cortisol test will help to see if it is Cushinoid features or if it is steroid-induced cushings. I am so sorry this has happened but you are not alone. I'm glad you found our message board. We have a website "Steroid Warning Network" (Our back to home button is not working but use any search engine you will find it.) On the home page you can click on the "More Links" section to find medical articles, information and legal info. Also there is a list of possible steroid side-effects you can see if maybe there are more things you are experiencing that maybe steroid related. You can also click on the inspirational poetry section these poems were written by me (I'm a published poet) when I was going through much of what you are. The "Can Do" poem may be of comfort to you. As Ivy mentioned steroid-induced cushing's takes a little longer to reverse. You can and will be better but there is no way to rush the process. You do need less stress right now. I am in the process of writing a book about the real steroid story (most think it's all about the anabolic steroid problem) but people who buy illegal steroids know what they are getting. People like you and me and the board members we went to our doctors and were given corticosteroids and most were never told the possible side-effects and life altering problems.
You can find more answers to frequently asked question in the FAQ section of our website.
If you need assistance I'm only an email away.
Best wishes
