Subject: Is Cushing's possible?

MY son - 19 - hypothryroid since 14, heavy weight gain and insulin resistant - all the classic outcomes of Cushings but no defined cause - Cortisol levels are well behaved.

He fell off his growth curve at about 10 and started to gain weight and the endocrinologist has suggested a transient pituitary adenoma....however from the age of 10 to about 15 he regularly used Vancanase for severe allergies for about 2-3 months each year. Could this be the cause that we are looking for? Does anyone out there have any information that could help

Seeking an answer
