Subject: Panic Attack

As you all know, I JUST weaned down on my prednisone last Monday and have been having quite a rocky time with the withdrawal symptoms (pain, nausea, vomiting). Well, I went to the doctor today to get a script for an MRI of my shoulder (tons of pain for a few months now), and as I was getting ready to get into my car (on the passenger side) another car pulled up next to me and the driver was smoking a BIG/FAT/HONKING CIGAR (my WORST trigger). I FREAKED OUT!!!! I RAN to the driver side and got in the backseat (my mom was driving) with my sweater pressed up against my nose/mouth while trying not to breath. When I closed the door and took a breath...I was FINE!!! NO ATTACK!!! NOTHING!!! I was not sure how my body would react to a trigger when on this dose for such a short amount of time. Of course I cried for a few minutes with relief...and the wish that I had been able to be mean to that guy LOL. The whole area around the office is non-smoking...so you are not even supposed to smoke in the parking lot, let alone right in front of the building. Oh well...at least I am breathing :-D It is a HAPPY THING!!!

Lots of love/hugs!!

Ivy
