Hi, this is also my first time I have found this site. I have been taking taking predisone for 24 years. I have a rare virus called HTLV I that I got from a blood transfusion in 1977. It was dormant until 1983. The doctor sent me to a specialist who said that my adrenal glands had shut down from the years of using steroids. Now, I had back surgery and the doctor told me that he had a difficult time "sewing me up" because my tissue was like tissue paper. My neurologist said that I had to begin tapering off of predisone immediately. I filled my pills this morning for the week this morning and went to a 10-9-10-9, etc. regimine for this month. I will continue decreasing like this monthly. When did you begin to observe side effects and what were they? I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks, Marcia>

Howdy!
