BEAR WITH ME ALL THIS IS A LONG ONE.

ok came out today second in pt stay in 4 weeks 1st one 4 weeks ago came after I dropped 1/2 mg of pred from am dose and ended up in er 10 lbs up and dehydrated 3rd spacing fluid so the primary doc decides to A.WEAN ME EVERY 3 DAYS 1/2 MG OF PRED AND put me on even MORE fluid pills I am maxed out on lasix and potassium and he adds this one that makes me drop 12lbs overnight SO. I PASS OUT GO TO ER AND GET POTASSIUM AND THEY DISCHARGE ME UNABLE TO WALK OR STAND AND WHEEL ME OUT TO THE CAR ON A STRETCHER AND I GET READMITTED DUE TO POTASSIUM DEPLETION.
SINCE THEN I GET CHEST PAIN OR PRESSURE WITH LIGHT HEADED OR HEADACHE EVERY TIME I STAND. BUT NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I TELL THE NURSES OR DOC NOTHING HAPPENS.. NO CT SCAN, NO HOLTER MONITER ETC.aFTER SITTING IN BED YET AGAIN FOR 4 DAYS. Anyway they took the fluid pills away for 2 days I gain over 10lbs. great huh???? my doc says it is because he is dropping my pred 1/2 mg every 3 days just to deal with it??????????????????? he had me down to 18. plus his big weening idea made me psycho and my blood sugars stay 250-330 nice huh?? I came home started back at my 23mg and feel a little better could drive but now really short of breath with chest crap still weight and sugars should stabilize tomorrow. Hope this dumb doc didn't hurt me with his bright idea of the rapid wean and fluid pills

In hosp,I puked, felt like I was stroking and having a heart attack rapid cycled moods. bp was extremely low 80/56, dehydrated, tachycardia, stopped peeing. and tanked on 15 lbs on the hosp low salt 1800 ada diet. nice huh???

Then I make the mistake of telling the minister that I am tired of fighting this and had actually started making funeral arrangements and that I was a burden to my family and couldn't deal with the chest pain this time and the docs lack of compassion, his assumption that it was all the steroids and the weaning/withdrawl and inability to order tests and admit me when I get really sick. (((SO I END UP IN THE FREAKIN WACK WARD OVERNIGHT!!!)))

OMG!!! WHAT A NITEMARE THEY SAID IT WAS VOLUNTARY WHAT A FREAKIN LIe I GET THERE AND THEY MAKE ME STAY OVERNIGHT.They are really mean... They promised I would have my medical doc there.. LIES all Lies!!

THERE WAS SOME KID GETTING HELD DOWN BY 3 GUARDS AND LOCKED UP IN THE PADDED ROOM. HE KICED THE WALLS SO HARD THE PICTURES WERE FLYING OFF THE WALLS. AND IT WASN'T HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE. AND YOU HAD TO EAT YOUR MEAT WITH YOUR HANDS CAUSE NO PLASTIC KNIVES AND NOTHING TO DRINK BUT WARM WATER AND NO AC...

Thank God my husband got me out of there today AMA of course but they said oh well I will have to pay for that cause the ins wont. Hope they hold their breath for that payment I will sue them first.

SO NOW THEY SAY I AM DEPRESSED (DUH) my Dad just died and I have been sick for a really long time AND WANT ME TO TAKE CELEXA BUT I AM NOT SUPPOSED TO TAKE SERETONIN INCREASING DRUGS BECAUSE I HAVE ADVERSE REACTION TO THEM.

so now here is my question for you all..............
I want off the pred it's obvious that dropping 1/2 mg every 3 days won't work.
I now am at 23 and I want to try to alt day dose 23/18 for a week or two. then 22 1/2 and 17 1/2 and so on.... ANYBODY HAD ANY LUCK WEANING THIS WAY???????? anybody take celexa??? thanks and help!! love ya Ma
