I can hear the frustration in your voice through the post! MOST of the side effects from 1 shot last just 2-3 of months in MOST people...the longer term side effects, like lower immune response, take up to a year to recover. TRY not to stress so much...you WILL HEAL! The more you stress, the longer it will take. Please trust me on that! I have been on steroids NON-STOP for 2 yrs and on and off of them for 4 yrs before that. I wish I could sue for the hell it has put me through, but they LITERALLY saved my life. I was given the steroids due to asthma/autoimmune disease that made it impossible for me to breath/eat without them. I am now also on a steroid-sparing drug (chemo) to help me stay on a low dose of the steroid.

The main thing that helped me on my LONG road with this drug is my family. Their love and support really helped to pull me through the roughest times I could imagine. Please do not push your family away...they can help you deal!! I am glad you are turning to us, we definitely understand what you are dealing with! If the emotional side effects do not start to ease up soon, maybe you could find a psychologist that helps patients with illnesses...I found one that works with patients who have MS and although that is not my disability, she understands the meds involved.

I am wishing you a much HAPPIER AND HEALTHIER New Year!
