No,remember, I really am unique. Steroids had caused osteopenia, but the break started as a hairline fracture that didn't even require a cast. The space between the bones continued to get bigger as the bone reabsorbed. My ortho used the term nonunion. As he was doing the surgical repair, when he first touched the bone it literally dissolved in his hand.I did make quite an impression. The graft took and the stimulator worked great. He was equally amazed at how well I healed. Breaking bones has been added to my list of directives; right up there with don/t cough and don/t get a cold. becki
