Another famous author associated with the school (and who, like John Cheever, lived for a time on the Vanderlip's property) was Richard Yates, famous for his novels The Easter Parade and the aptly-named Revolutionary Road, soon to be a feature film.

When I was in 8th and possibly 9th grades, John Cheever's son Ben was in my class.
