Subject: Ancient History???

Ran into this site, as I was searching for a bit of background. Amazed to discover the Montessori connection. Makes perfect sense now when I think back on all the animals that greeted us in 1942, and the merry-go-round, the maple syrup making, the terrariums in 4th grade, and, later on, the Gilbert and Sullivan operettas. Our teachers: Sullivan, Daniels, Ailes, Ida Mae Price and Major Price, Giese. Vivid names that have stayed with me for so many decades. And Mr. Main, the assistant principal, who one day strolled down the hallway just as Shelby Davis, Jeff Wiese and I were gleefully making the water fountain spray all over the ceiling just outside Mr. Boocock's office. He gently invited us to sit right down in the puddles and contemplate our glee for the next hour or so... Indelible...

The three of us went elsewhere for high school--but we have recently re-connected, and, of course, we reminisce about those years at Scarborough School. ...and wondered about former classmates, like Jim Stillman, Alva Miller, George Secor, Karen Silverman and Joan Lustig.

My wife and I live in La Jolla, California. Do get in touch should you come this way. And maybe additional friends from the '40s might add to this on-line conversation.
