I liked the episode, but all that hostility between Harm & Mac was a bit much to take. DPB doesn't want them to get together; he actually said it in the Entertainment Weekly Fall TV Preview issue: "I've been putting off the romantic connection between them for eight years, and...I'll continue to put it off. Maybe at the end of the show, I'll just let them go their separate ways."

How hypocritical for Bellisario to say that, when now it looks like Mac & Webb may be getting together! What is it--she can have a romance with anyone *except* Harm?

It did have its nice bits, like the scene in the bathroom when Harm said he had forgotten how beautiful Mac looked, and when he was telling her that he had gotten married to the CIA lady (horrors!!!). But when they got nasty toward each other--that was very hard to watch...especially that last scene, when they were ready to leave Paraguay behind.

The Trevor Goddard tribute at the end was a VERY nice touch--showing the scene where he leaves JAG to go back to Australia, and everyone sings "Waltzing Matilda"...gave me goosebumps.

At the rate this is going, I don't see it getting any easier for Mac & Harm, though the 'shipper instinct in me hopes this will be resolved to a more logical conclusion. I just hope it doesn't end like the X-Files, where we didn't really see any romance between them, except those last episodes...
