The nectar is sweet
flows its path
with stickinesses
that pulls, tugs
all surroundings
bears all

I saw you atop
the hill
standing
with your focus
that gathered
me so easily
into your frame

saw my gerters
so riveted
and a frame
on which to lean:
understood interrogation

It is always that way
in spring
when flowers laugh
show to one another
their own sweets,
and special fragrances;
they long to elope
ride your horses
with the wind

a wind that daffodils
that covered the pine crest
forest knew
when you had that picnic
months and months
ago

smelled all tinglinesses
of a sap that
well
flowed

in its oozing

and always eyes
somewhere that
interrogated
the proper
glue

you know

Your walk is easy;
on grass that refused to slip
as you came down -
along so slowly;
in a gently march
that said
the grass is wet
today ..
and looked

each of your steps
a grandeur, all
mentioned
yes I find the ground
so full
the waters
feel exactly
my depth in this walk
how I must step
and make it
slowly
all the way
to you
