"I suppose Sajra's having a night out on the town," She observed, noting the absence of her other charge, and thus dismissed it with the same quickness that it had entered her mind. He was a contrary imp anyhow, and some fresh air would do him good. She'd give him a good rub-down in the morning and another long bath following his daily work-out. Ella could have the day off, or else they'd take another hack in the afternoon.

With those conclusions drawn, she unlatched the half-door to Ella's stall and, making sure she had sufficient water for the night, gave her a quick hug around the neck and left.
