He brought his head up and, craning his neck, shot his rider an extremely baleful look before going back to passive examination of the spectators.

"Sajra did very nicely," Zoe hollered from her position on the ground next to the chestnut. "He does seem to know what he's doing...but he's still kind of spooky and there is the problem with the kicking out. We'll curb it somehow. He's not mean, and he certainly seems eager." Grinning, she added, "Want to try him?"
