Tabitha pulled the opening of the wound closed, and guided Bradly's hands and fingers to where she wanted them. Then she started the long, hard work of stitching up the gash with the needle and thread she had gotten. Throughout the hour it took to stitch her, Mercedes would flinch, or shift and whimper in her sleep, but never did she wake. When the last stitch had been put in place, Tabitha sank down, resting her head on the arm propped on the couch. For a few minutes, she remained that way, gathering the rest of her resolve. Finally, she righted herself, Thank you Bradly, for everything. She gave him a weak smile. Noone else would have done all that you've done... expecially a complete stranger. She glanced at her daughter's face and smiled again. You brought my world back to me.. She mutters, more to herself than to him.
