 Stan turned as Carmine grabbed him. then with a sly smile he pulled a knife from his pocket and slide it down Carmine's leg. As Carmine released him he threw the knife at Ashena and ran out the door.

Ashena ducked as the knife flew past her heda and knelt down in the corner drawing her knees up to her chest and giving small sobs of relief and fear.
