body relaxing with the Lady's words, breath exhaled shake with relief, Gaufi seemed to sink to the floor. the fire that had kept him going slowly fading, nothing left to draw upon. pools dull, frame shivering with his exhaustion, trembling hands all that kept him up. the kindness in her words surprising him as he leaned into them for the slight comfort they provided. pools closing slowly, lids fluttering in attempt to keep them open though he fails. soft sigh given with a shudder of his frame, mind wondering for a moment. the sharp prick of her nail bring him back to the present. figure stiffening in response though there was nothing for him to do but follow the pressure.

the silent command of her nail swiftly obeyed, pools opening slowly with effort. chin raising away from the sharp edge, frame following suit with obvious discomfort and fear. cloudy pools attempting to cast their glance aside in fear of looking into her eyes, though he was unable to avoid it. lips parting in a silent plea now sure that he had done something terribly wrong. the words upon his tongue fading with her own spoken words, mind slow registering, her gentle coaxing not seeming to permeate the fog of fatigue that overwhelmed his very being.

how his feet got beneath him or functioned he would never know, feeling as if he was cocooned in warmth and support. mind for the moment detached from the efforts of moving, breathing, and thinking. everything just going blank and quiet upon hitting the cool sheets and hearing the sound of her distant voice. the kiss given his forehead though chaste remaining lingering so vivid within his peace filled dreams. the gentle caress of his mother flames becoming loving once more mingling with the kiss until they felt as one.

a contented sigh giving way from burned lungs and throat the discomfort also seeming to feel a bit further away. feeling the sheets tucked about him Gaufi shifts to his side, an arm falling to without thought pull a pillow to his chest. the cool silk also soothing the burns in a way though at the moment his mind dwell upon much pleasanter places.. home and the warm touch that never seemed to fade that came not from home but here and felt of home.
