 The male didn't continue his attempt to break in, moving to lean against the wall beside the door, brushing back his black hair and letting his gaze follow the girl as she appeared to have a similar intention. He looked away after a moment, giving a haughty sigh, though when he heard a bit of clicking and the creak of an opening door, he turned his head, frowning heavily. Okay, that wasn't fair - she just beat him at his own game!

As much as that irked him, though, he slowly wandered over and muttered, "Nice work..." Maybe he could mooch a spot in the broken-into apartment for the night..

The girl stuck her head in the darkness. The air had a musty quality. Moldy oxygen, always a plus. “Halloo?” She asked into the silence. It was a redundant thing to do; no one answered or appeared to have been there in the past few months. Perfect.

She turned her cheek over her shoulder and took a good look at her new company.

“Welcome to my humble abode”. Said she and proceeded to step inside; he was welcome to come if he pleased. Light switch? Somewhere around here...Her hand went up and down the surrounding wall, fingers probing. Aha, here we go. She flicked it upwards, and a garish yellow light chased out the darkness. It wasn’t much, but she hadn’t expected anything too great.
