Peaceful in her presence, undeniably soothed by her gentle patience and soft affections so obvious in her eyes and touch, her reassurance and encouraging support, all the more incentive to work at his promises of personal change, he blinked back a squirm of sentiment, this time what could only be joy and the satisfaction of a love realized, adored, and desperately craved. And chaste the initial kiss had been, no longer so bold as to believe every move was to be accepted as a prelude to further passions and certainly not expecting GiGi to have any cause to allow him any closer to her heart considering how badly he had mauled it so many times before, and the sudden press of his lips momentarily startled him, but in the most beautiful of ways and he gave back to her the love she gifted him. So sweet those lips, succulent and precious to make him now realize how badly he had neglected this relationship, taking so wickedly for granted what was so lovingly at his side all along. If true love required both elements of good and bad, then they had the makings of something powerful- she the good, he the bad and forgiveness enough to start again and do this right. An opportunity too rare to screw up. He would not be so stupid the second time around! Meeting her lips delicately, an underlying desperation for her affection, he ran fingers down her arm that had held him willingly to the kiss, sliding a gentle hand to the back of her shoulder and bringing her close against him.
