Subject: The Treaty Of Versailles

The Treaty of Versailles was useless, except for building the reputation of the delegates involved. If the treaty had been what he Germans had agreed to (Wilson's fourteen points)then war would be completely different. The terms of teh treaty meant that Germany was angry and determined to get justice. It was this anger fuelled determination that caused Hitlers sucess and all the horrors that are linked i.e. the holocaust. Furthermore the treaty made a mockery of loans and reparations.
I am of the opinion that had the treaty been Wilsons fourteen points it would have been quicker to negotiate, cheaper to publisise and more effective. It would have also made the Second World War impossible without breaking their bonds so to speak.
