(1st of all i hope all the girls show up sir by going on the forum)
Appeasement was used for a number of reasons on Hitler. I guess all that Chamberlain was trying to do was defend Britain, we all know this by his opinion on war- a fearful thing. If Chamberlain had not used appeasement there would have been a war sooner, but this did not happen and instead Britain had time to re-arm and become stronger. In the end we won. In no way was this a humiliation to Britain, it was a natural act.
