Subject: Football is the scurge of mankind and should be banned

OK, I'm really, really bored so I thought I'd start something moderately controvertial. I am of the opinion that football is a disgusting sport that promotes the "lad" culture that has made Britain such a horrible place to live in during my short, 17 year long life. By the way when I refer to football, I also mean the whole culture associated with it - I might actually like it if it were played by gentlemen who don't spit every few seconds, who speak properly and who actually have some sort of taste.
Oh and what do people think of the whole "Beckham" thing. He's idolised by the whole nation it would seem, but for what? True, he's a very talented footballer I'm sure, but he gets so many column inches these days, anyone would think he runs the country.
So yeah, I hate football with a passion. I hate the way the Beckhams are treated like gods. I hate the laddish culture we live in. I despise it all. Let me know what you think.
