I don't know Mr Beckham personally, and as far as i know, he may knit little mittens for poor orphaned puppies. But i do know that he is not worshipped for being a nice person, but for being an extremely good footballer and apparently extremely good looking. The common factor here is the word 'extremely'. When was the last time we worshipped someone for just being an 'extremely' nice person?(barring that nice little dude Mother Teresa, as barely anyone noticed she died because of that other dude Diana). Being extremely nice and kind all the time is probably one of the hardest things in the universe for flawed homosapiens like us, so maybe we should all make nice Bob Jenkins over the road our idol for tomorrow.

I apologise for my excessive use of 'nice' in this. i do know other words like 'stuff' and 'really' and 'fine' which are equally as expressive .

ps. gramps i saw you in town shopping with your mum. hehe.
