I regularly post to a forum that just moved to PhpBB. I agree with Jim in that it won't be difficult to get used to. Like Jim said, you can automatically log in by checking a box at the log in screen if you choose to. If you forget to manually log in and you post, your post will say "guest" instead of your name, (we've all done this at some point! :-)) and if you just want to read posts you don't have to log in at all.

You can choose whether your name will be shown as registered (your name will be listed) or hidden after you have logged in. If you are not logged in, you will be shown as a guest.

You can choose to list your e-mail address if you want, you can PM (personal message) others, list instant messaging info. if you use it. If you have an avitar (a picture that you post by your name) you can do that too.

The only "glitch" that I had to get used to was when you want to reply to someone other than the original poster. You either have to press the "quote" button and copy that person's message into your post, or specify the person's name to whom you are replying. No big deal, though.

Thanks Lynn for this great forum. I have learned a lot from everyone here!
