I personally like Invision Power Board (IPB) and phpBB. phpBB is usually easier to control, but comes with less features. I personally admin at two forums, one with IPB and one with phpBB.

phpBB is quick and easy, but if you'd rather have more features, go with Invision (however, they do have a few minor ads on their admin cpanel). If you'd like to talk more about this, my administrative experiences, or whatever else about this subject, feel free to talk to me...
