Subject: So many teeth..so little space!!!

Well it's been one whole week since I got these puppies put on! My teeth feel much better now than they did a few days after!! I still can't talk right but I'm sure that will come.

I am a little confused about the effect my wisdom teeth may have on my braces. They are pretty much grown in, at least as much as they can fit. They are impacted on both sides but the right side is the worst. Even though I have teeth to no end the orthodontist thinks we can spread everything out somehow by widening the arch in my mouth and that everything will fit! I have an overbite because of the crowding. I feel pretty comfortable with my orthodontists (two of them work together so I get both of their opinions which is nice) but I don't get how this is going to work. Has anyone else had their arch widened and everything fit into place? Will the wisdom teeth not be working against the braces as they push forward? At first they were talking of removing like 4 teeth but now it seems as though all the teeth are staying. Is this normal or what? I mean I'm glad I don't have to get teeth yanked out but...still! :)
