Good point -- kids could get a double whammy being told by the ads that metal is undesirable, then being told by the dentist, sorry invisalign won't work for you. To be fair, the video I saw was apparently marketed to adults, and I think they should stick to that market, or at least let kids draw their own conclusions about what's undersirable and what's not. Plus, my ortho has concerns about compliance with invisalign since they're so easy to remove, and I suspect that problem might be worse in teenagers since they're not the ones personally shelling out the big bucks to buy 'em.

Too bad nobody's 'marketing' metal braces -- they could become the 'in' thing. Hey, if multiple piercings are cool (lips, nose, tongue, etc) why not braces? I suppose the new 'wild smile' bracket system is a step in that direction and I hope it succeeds.
