thanks for the help. my ortho wants me to wear it out in addition to home and even told me that i'm going to have to wear it to classes in the fall in order to get enough hours. the other scary thing he said was that the hours could increase (or decrease) from time to time so there might be times when i have to wear it even more! i was told that the best thing would be to get in the habit of only taking it off when i eat, brush my teeth or play sports. i have no idea how i'm supposed to even get close to 18 hours. even 12 hours is hard to fit in with my social life!
