i too had my bands and brackets done all within 90 minutes. There was no pain at all and am quite happy with things. I agree with others in that the spacers hurt more, except that that pain was easier to deal with since i could bite off and just swallow food.
Now it hurts to bite off anything solid, but chewing now is painfree.
I had 4 bands, and the ortho assistant mistakenly put a left-side band on the lower right side, but it turned out fine as my ortho caught it before anything was cemented in place.
my treatment plan is about 3 years, i had 3 extractions, numbers 5,12, 20 & 29. and i'd like to actually keep the braces on as long as possible, even 10-15+ years i'd have no problem with... but we'll see how the situation is after 3 years first....
the experience as a whole i would rate as perfect so far....
