Subject: Palate Bar OUCH! and ARGH! Author: delfi [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 21:29:04 08/19/04 Thu Does anyone else have a palate bar? It was put in yesterday and SO uncomfortable all day! I tried singing in my car on the way back to the ortho and felt like I was going to throw up *blegh* Worst of all, I had one of those assistants with a, umm, heavy hand, who doesn't seem to notice how harshly she is scraping the crowns of my molars with the metal pick. Today is better though, but my tongue is irritated from pressing against it, and I can't taste food as much b/c I can't press my tongue against the roof of my mouth. I guess I'm lucky...my boyfriend had his palate EXPANDER in for two years and the bar in for another year! Sorry for the vent.
