Absoltuely NOT. It will not make your tooth loose.

There is a CDT code for it. Look in the periodontal section i.e. the 4000's might say something like circumferentil fiberotomy.
Even if it isnt covered it is usually fairly inexpensive. I think I charge $125 per tooth for it.
