Saw an ortho today that had done our childrens work. Wants to band my wisdom tooth and second molar that will have a temp crown(abutment), first premolar(Other abutment with temporary crown) and first molar (has a gold crown) on other side. Will bracket other teeth to stabilize the entire arch while uprighting the teeth in question.

Get spacers end of next week and the bands, brackets, spring and arch wire early part of September. She said this should have been done fifteen years ago when I had the first bridge placed but it was placed by a geneal dentist, not a prothodontistmlike my current dentist is. Of course, I should have had the bridge placed right after loosing the molar but we were newly married and didn't have the money--thus the tilting.

Interestingly, since I was going to have the entire bottom arch wired, asked him if anything should be done on top while working on the bottom. She said really nothing to gain except taking more of my money and extending treatment time.
That made that decision easy. She gave me the option of silver or gold brackets. Went with gold.
