You can pretty much look at any situation and see an advantage or disadvantage, kinda the whole glass analogy of half full or half empty.
I think you should concentrate on the advantages to having braces and dating.
One – It makes you come off as less intimidating, a huge plus on his self-esteem. He probably will feel less threatened in going up to ask you for your number or to buy you a drink.
Two – It’s a great conversation piece. If he’s worn braces in the past – you already start with something in common, and he is bound to have tons of advice and sympathy. Or, if he hasn’t worn them, he probably knows someone who has or is just curious as to why you have them, what’s it like, etc.
Three – He knows you will look fabulous after you get them off, and thinks it’s the only time he may have a chance at you, since guys will be beating your door down the day after de-banding, when you grace them with your dazzling perfect smile.
Four – Braces makes everyone look cute, no matter what, no matter how bad your day has been, no matter how limp your hair is. Embrace it, use it, play it up!!!
There are probably tons more, but these are the first that come to mind. Don’t over analyze, don’t worry yourself over things you can’t control, just get out there and have fun!!!
