I think it depends on what kind of trip you're taking. I got my braces on Thursday and went away for the weekend on Friday. It was just to a family member's house though. I couldn't really eat, but other than that I was fine. If it's a vacation that you've been looking forward to all year or something, I would hold off. That way you can really enjoy it. Either way, Good Luck!
