when i got my braces, my ortho told me that itd take 3 to 3 and a half years to get my teeths as straight as possible. He also told me that becuase i was missing a front tooth on my bottom jaw, my smile wouldnt look perfect, but it would look ALOT better. i remember asking him if i could get a fake tooth to put in place of that missing tooth. i forget what his reply was, but he basically said no. so, i just went along with it.

Its been almost 2 years now. i still have a small gap between the left front teeth of my lower jaw and the bigger tooth next to it. my lower jaw also looks like its shifted to the right, my right jaw is somewhat noticably thicker than it was before(its thicker than my left jaw), when i open my mouth now it shifts a bit to the right, and also the teeths on my upper left jaw rest on top of the brackets of the tooths below them.

i still have a overbite. IMO, my teeth/smile still looks like crap. and hes telling me that by the end of the year I'd be done with the braces process if i keep wearing my rubber bands from now on(on my right side).

my left jaw i think still needs alot of work, but he told my mom that its doing great, and that its my right jaw that needs work on...

is it possible to get a new ortho? thatd probably cost another 3-4 thousand wouldnt it? =/ its been 2 years, estimation was 3, and my teeth/smile really doesnt look the least bit better at all.

Dr. Rick, i need your advice!!!! i need to get some pics up some how.....

Jeff
