Well guys I didn't do the braces as a ring thing, heck I didn't even propose yet. Instead we discussed her getting braces, etc. It was decided we could afford it and that it was something really important, yada-yada-yada. So off to the ortho that Friday for a consult. To make a long story short, we went to see about getting braces for her and I ended up sporting spacers by the time we left the office! It seems in the course of being Mr.Ultra-Supportive-Guy I put my big fat foot in my mouth - again. It seems my teeth are worse than hers, and since we can only afford to do one ortho treatment at a time - TA-DA! She kind of pushed me into it right there, putting me on the spot. "Go for it honey." Just do it." "Why not." -I seem to recall were some of her words. I guess that is what I get for trying to get my girlfriend/future wife in braces. That is right I said it, I love gals with braces. And before everyone gets crazy, I confessed my real motive to her and she laughed and said, "that's what you get!" Anyway, I'll be joining everyone here-why not? My banding appointment is this Thursday. I'm excited and a little scared. Typical stuff - how will family/friends/co-workers react? What will I look like? How will they feel? I am worried about my close guy friends - I told a couple I was getting HER braces. (yes, foot in mouth again) After years of admiring people with them, I guess I will see what braces are all about. Sorry for such a long message, but so many of you gave me advise before and I just wanted to give an update. Plus I am excited! Counting the days!
