Hi Bob:
I saw your post regarding the braces ring, and chose not to answer. I knew you would get negative replies from the ladies, and I would have just joined in.
Women want their men to be romantic. Not a practical concept, but that's how women are.
Anyway, I have to say that after the romantic part, women love men that want them to be happy, and who support them in what they need in life.
If she needs braces, and you support her in that, then she will realize that if you CAN'T afford the DIAMOND ring right now, its ok.
Because, you need to remember that by supporting her in what she needs and wants, you ARE showing your love for her.
It is really hard in life to have EVERYTHING you want. You need to make choices and set priorities.
I really am glad that you didn't give a "braces" ring to her.
And I know that if she really loves you, she will see that you love and support her, and (personally), that is the best thing you can find in life.
