Well Micky, this is strictly my opinion so I'm sure that there are people who may disagree with me, but don't bother to hate all those quick-fix corrected teeth people.
I found out the hard way that "cosmetically fixing" my tooth by putting a straight crown on top of a crooked molar tooth was a BAD thing to do! (My dentist did this much to my surprise). Now my bite is wrecked, I can't chew on the tooth because of the pressure where the crown meets the base of the tooth. The whole tooth is "off". Now I will be having braces put on and part of the main plan is to pull the crooked tooth base straight (so that makes the crown go crooked?) and then I will have to have the crown redone!! UUGGHH!
So have no fear, braces may be a long term project, but you are doing the right thing!
