Hi there Sharon! I have a 70%overbite and when I first got my braces on, some of my brackets were banging each other and my molars didn't touch....it was no fun at all...but seriously, 3 weeks later, so much better. Eating is a task at first, but gets better....it's amazing how you'll figure out things to do! I don't know anything about the bumpers, but I'm sure they are there for a good reason!
