Like Heather said, everyone has a different pain threshold. Consider yourself lucky, and don't believe the "no pain, no gain" thing. With orthodontics it just isn't true. As for the other issues, give it a few days and they will go away. The first week is the hardest, after that your mouth adapts to all the new stuff in it.
