Yeah, it's tough to eat after first getting braces. I lost weight like crazy and thought I'd never be able to eat again. Eating is not as smooth as before (I'm at the 3-month point) but it's improved by leaps over the 1st day.
I'd suggest that you continue to read and post here. It helps to know you're not alone and can get you through the day. As an example read the nice responses to my "Tired of Braces" message below.
