I have a combo of ceramics and metal. My front 6 on bottom are ceramic and the back teeth have metals. My top will be the same when I get those on. The metals are a little smaller but not to much. My ortho didn't charge extra for the ceramics. I don't understand why some ortho's charge extra for ceramics and some don't. I'm very happy with mine and would be less comfortable with metals but if I would of been charged extra for the ceramics I would of had all metal. It's expensive enough!!! Good Luck.
