My teeth were in the configuration yours are. As a child, it was decided that they would just let the adult canines come in the lateral incisor position and bond them to look like lateral incisors. My baby canines stayed. I did okay with this, but eventually tired of having such small canines. I inquired about getting the baby canines bonded to look bigger, but it was universally (by several dentists) advised that it would hasten the demise of the short-rooted baby canines. I thought that perhaps I would just get the baby canines removed and replaced with bridges or implants, but was told that since the canines take such stresses, it would be best to have my real canines in the canine position. This is why I had the baby canines removed, and the adult canines de-bonded and moved to their anatomically correct positions. The long distance they moved with braces is probably why their roots were/are tilted forward so much. The actual crowns of those teeth moved fairly quickly with chains and coils. I have some very nice temporary lateral incisors made by my restorative dentist, but would still like to have this thing over with.
