To avoid breaking brackets I stay on a soft diet, but I still break one sometimes when I'm brushing and flossing. My ortho is always really nasty about it when I break a bracket and gives me a lecture about being irresponsible and eating candy(I don't eat candy), and I also get charged for each breakage, so we have reason to be paranoid! lol
