I got blisters on my tongue, too. It seems that after a few days or a week, the inner lining of the mouth and the tongue are no longer sensitive to all the foreign objects in our mouths and do get harder. In the meantime, wax works to cover those areas of the braces that are poking and scraping. A hint: make sure the surface you pack the wax on to is very dry, otherwise it will not adhere well. Best to you on your braces! I've been in brace a couple of months myself
